Mining Energy, or NRG, determines how many times you can mine stone blocks.
Mining NRG is given to the player at a rate of 1 every 20 minutes. The amount of NRG gained can be increased by 1 with the use of the two NRG+ Ascension Upgrades, while the time it takes for NRG to increase can be reduced with the NRG Reduction Trophies Upgrade. Maximum Energy can be increased with the Energy Capacity Mining Upgrade. The maximum energy at level 200 is 1250.
